Tennis ENhancing Normative Innovation System

Background The global problem of obesity and sedentary lifestyles is clearly part of this European nation's everyday life. In this regard one of the healthiest sports, acting on whole body muscles, supporting the heart activity and developing the respiratory apparatus is tennis. Due to this reason 4 organisation from 4 partner countries have implemented a project called TENNIS (Tennis ENhancing Normative Innovation System) to support the mobility of volunteers, coaches, managers and competitors from tennis Objectives - Improving good management in tennis sport;- improving management tools for tennis clubs- Promoting tennis among adolescents and youth - to overcome aggression, racial discrimination and intolerance in sport;- Supporting children from social and marginal groups for practicing tennis;- Promoting women's tennis- Encourage participation in sports events, competitions;- Encourage an ethical approach in tennis and the fair-play;- Creating successful athletes - sports for all Implementation In accordance with the approved project, activity plan and budget, the partners have exchanged information and practices on management approaches and tools of tennis, coaching techniqes and strategies to recruit volunteer work during the 2 international project meetings (in Debrecen, Hungary in June and in Katerini, Greece in August) and the online cooperations during the project period. Achievements The well prepared plannig of the project and the good cooperations between the partners have resulted two successful meetings and an international booking system that has been tested and applied by the project partners. On the meetings (June, Debrecen - August Katerini) Presentations have been told about IT management tools and seminars were hold about coaching techniques, and attracting (players, volunteers) methods in tennis, 40-40 people have met on each meetings during the project.
