Background On one hand a trend of individualization is noticeable. New technologies such as social media give more autonomy , and as a result people are less dependent on each other. But opposing, there is less feeling of togetherness. This might be one of the reasons that grass roots sports are under pressure. On the other hand from the age of twelve sports participation is significantly decreasing compared to younger age groups. Objectives Healthy lifestyle: 1. Role models, such as Top Esports players and top sport athletes have shared their experiences and determinants that have led them to become a successful professional. 2. One part of a having awareness of a healthy lifestyle is sports, which was the main activity. 3. During activities fruit and water were offered to the participants to promote a healthy lifestyle.Creating incentives to increase sport participation was done by triggering with Esports and Esporters mainly. Implementation During the preparation phase, the project outline was communicated and discussed during a kick-off meeting. This was followed by partnering up with existing Esports sections, setting new Esports section up or partnering up with an external Esports partner. The awareness was raised at local schools or together with social institutes by bringing in portable consoles, games and Esporters. After this period, the implementation phase started where children competed in as well sports as Esports. Achievements There were different outcomes for different stakeholders. The organizations that were part of the project as a partner are enabled to learn how to deal with Esports activities. Some organizations were already experienced in Esports and had the opportunity to spread the knowledge with the organizations that did not have the knowledge. The local communities were impacted by social inclusion and being part of a sports organization, which is not obvious for gamers.
