โ–ถSummary

Background The participation of young people with disabilities in physical activity and their participation in social areas in this way included multidimensional needs, problems and solution mechanisms. In our project, we focused on the individual, social, economic and cultural participation needs of the people with disabilities in the field of sports. In the project, we considered the participation of the disabled in sports as a broad and whole social area. We started from the practices of the partners. Objectives The objectives; increasing the popularity and awareness of sports for the disabled; increasing the competencies and capacities of people and organizations working with children and young people with disabilities; ensuring the participation of more children and young people with disabilities in physical activities and sports; establishing mechanisms to support athletes with disabilities in terms of psychological, social, cultural and educational aspects. We have set sub-goals related to these. Implementation The activities included links that complement each other and reach the whole. We organized the activities in groups to make these connections understandable and effective. The groups of activities were planned as follows: A- Coordination, planning, promotion and awareness activity group; B - Capacity building and training activity group; C - Local synergy and collaboration activities group; D - Educational and training activities group; E โ€“ International synergie and Networking activities group. Achievements If we summarized the project results that we used for dissemination during and after the project: Project internet tools, network and sustainable project groups. These groups were "the International Projects Development Group" that would enable the stakeholders to develop international projects, "disabled sports volunteers group" and "local synergy teams" that would continue the local disabled sports activities, and "Volunteer university students" to continue raising the awareness of the youth.
