"Table Tennis for Inclusion"

Background The rationale of “Table Tennis for Inclusion” project was to enhance the social inclusion of young people from rural areas, by increasing their participation in sport activities, and empowerment of the disadvantaged youth. This was achieved by promoting the participation of youth in sport activities by developing and piloting of an innovative and sustainable model, along with the necessary reference tools and materials that can be implemented by table tennis clubs, sport associations, schools. Objectives The general objectives of the project include the following:- Increasing the social inclusion and empowerment of disadvantaged youth- Promoting the participation of youth in sport activities- Promoting Table Tennis as healthy lifestyle and engagement of young people - Providing young people from rural areas opportunity to practice individual sport and socialize with other young people complementing each other, fostering their independence by professional training- Design of a Guidebook Implementation Preparation phase: - Preparatory online Skype meeting (formation of the Managerial team)- Preparation of the QAS, Monitoring and Evaluation PlansImplementation: - Mobility1 - Kick-off meeting in Sajan (signing Agreements, Quality assurance plan, dissemination plan)- Drafting a training plan and program- Local activities 1,2 (40+32 pupils trained)- Mobility2 - Training course in Vidin (15 trainers taught)- Testing and finalization of a Guidebook- Mobility3 - Final conference in Bitola Achievements As tangible and intangible results the following were accomplished throughout the project cycle:- 6 virtual meetings (Agenda, Minutes)- 3 mobilities - physical meetings (Agenda, Signatures, Travel evidence, archive)- Quality Assurance Statement signed- Dissemination spreadsheet filled- more than 70 children attending table tennis practices in two sessions as part of the local activities 1 and 2- design of a plan and a program for table tennis practice (Guidebook)- 15 coaches trained
